NEW DELHI: Former BJP president Nitin Gadkari on Thursday dared I-T officials and said 'Where will you go once the BJP comes to power?'
Addressing his supporters in Nagpur, the former BJP chief said that income tax department should realise that the Congress is on its way out.
"There will be no Chidambaram or Sonia to save them, once the Congress is out of power," he said.
Gadkari said that he had been informed by officials sympathetic to the party how I-T and CBI officials were working overtime to indict him.
In a dramatic turn of events, Gadkari was forced to resign as BJP chief after reports of I-T inquiries against some companies allegedly connected to Purti Group.
Gadkari opted out against second term as party president, paving the way for Rajnath Singh to take over as BJP chief on Wednesday.
